That’s right, the third day is a charm and you want to know why ? Because I calmed my farm and carried on, I even went out at night 👏🏼
So the day started out same as the past two, except this time I was determined to get the selfie in, thanks to my mother who wanted to see more photos of me in the travel pics, I had to listen. The result..
Attempt one …🤦🏼♀️ Attempt two…🤷🏼♀️
Remember how I mentioned go for a walk each morning and on my second day way the spitting lady ? Well I did a sneaky and took a photo

Moving on to the exciting bit was the fact I dubbed it Alcatraz day which let’s face it, is self explanatory. Quite a fascinating prison, but more so the stories that came along with it as I walked through the audio tour. But below are some photos of the adventure:
Trip over to Alcatraz I got a smiley admission stamp (yay ! ) Alcatraz ferry landing Main walkway on Alcatraz up to the cell block Recreational area for inmates Cell Cell As you enter cell block Around the corner, on the right is where the admin office was Visiting windows Look how thick this glass is at the visiting area 😱 That’s the old wardens house Pretty spectacular view of SF Wardens house and cell block behind that. The escape route! One of the inmates cell from which he escaped Cell block and wardens house again but this time with my face 😬 This view though
On my way back tot he hotel I went wandering and found an octopus shrub, had some clam chowder from boudins bakery, checked out the museum and had a Chardonnay from a can which was as expected, absolutely disgusting 😂 but the chowder was great!

Oh and don’t forget pier 39 which is a must see for all the amazingness that it holds ! Just some neat little shops, restaurants and carnival rides such as this gorgeous carousel! And the lollie shop with so many candies it is insane !
The rest of my day just consisted of playing in the arcade musee mecanique which is kind of a functioning arcade museum which was amazing ! All I can say from that apart from being amazing is that people were very easily entertained back in the day 😉 I absolutely loved it.
That’s a wrap for day 3 in SF, I have two more days here when I head back to Sydney so stay tuned as I will be looking at historical ships 🙂
